Meat site review: Meatshirt.com
I found this website this morning when looking for some new meaty subjects. Meatshirt.com has is a store front for some Cafe Press designs. Some of the t-shirts are a bit cheesy for my taste - as in they aren't over the top enough for a meat t-shirt - but the thought of being able to order sausage boxer shorts or a hot dog coffee mug is appealing.

Is eating beef really bad for you? Does it cause heart attacks, strokes, and cancers, as we are constantly being told by diet dictocrats? It’s pretty easy to get confused, and we women are especially vulnerable, because we want to be healthy and look good, right?
What is the truth? Consider the following:
Studies indicate that, if our ancestors had not eaten red meats, the brain of humans would be 1/4 of its present size! During human evolution, our adaptation to red meat and the vital protein and fats it provides, is one of the KEY reasons behind the rapid growth in our intelligence and brain capacity.. without meat we still would be living in the trees eating bananas!
2. In regions where people have the longest lifespan, the diet is based almost exclusively on meat of ruminant animals and cultured dairy products.
3. Protein in beef and lamb provides plenty of building blocks for our body, ensuring strong lean muscles and healthy hormones.
4. Red meat is an excellent source of vital minerals like zinc, iron, and magnesium. In meat, these minerals exist in form that is much easier for the body to absorb compared to the minerals in grains and pulses.
5. Vitamin B12, which can be obtained ONLY from animal sources and which is abundant in beef, is crucial for a healthy nervous system and blood.
6. The carnitine in red meat is essential for balanced and steady functioning of the heart.
7. Beef and lamb fat is rich in linoleic and palmiotelic acids, which have strong anticancer effects and fight viruses and other pathogens.
In the next article, we will discover the best ways to cook red meat so that its vital force is not destroyed. In the meantime, remember that beef or lamb on your plate is not only a gourmet delight, but also the best way to protect your beauty and health.

PETA secretely kills thousands of animals
PETA Supporters Have Blood on Their Hands
(from petakillsanimals.com)
As Americans learn more about People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and its eccentric founder, Hollywood stars should know the whole story. Despite the well-known animal rights group's $30 million budget, it spends very little actually caring for adoptable animals. Instead, it kills them. By the thousands.
Government records show that between 1998 and 2005, PETA killed more than 14,000 dogs and cats at its Virginia headquarters.(The group refuses to release its 2006 numbers.) In 2005, PETA killed 90 percent of the pets in its care. Some were thrown in trash dumpsters. Most were incinerated. PETA's donors footed the bill.
That's not "ethical." It's hypocritical.
"Ingrid Newkirk runs the most disingenuous animal group on the planet," said Center for Consumer Freedom Director of Research David Martosko. "PETA takes pet lovers' donations with one hand while administering lethal injections with the other."
-------------------------
Thank you Geoff, for suggesting the article. It's a shame to kill thousands of animals and store them in freezers or dumpsters - especially when they criticize people for using animals for medical research, dairy production, and food! Say No to PETA, say yes to MEATA!

Welcome to MEATA!
Well, it's official. The start of the MEATA empire has begun.
So what is MEATA? Basically, it is a collection of individuals who appreciate the taste and health of benefits of eating meat. It's for those who are sick of the facist propaganda materials released by another organization of similiar sounding name (hint: starts with "Pee" and ends with "ta").
We're working on getting bumper stickers, t-shirts, and other meat-eating pride paraphernalia (steak-flags anyone?). If you have some suggestions, we'd love to hear them. So far we've got a few ideas for bumper stickers:
1. WE LOVE VEGETARIANS - MORE MEAT FOR US! (Thanks to the Oregon Beef Council for the idea)
2. I HATE KIDS...BUT I LOVE MEAT.
3. IF IT DOESN'T BLEED, IT ISN'T WORTH EATING.
4. THE BEST FOOD IS FOOD WITH A FACE.
5. I'D LIKE A BIG PIECE OF MEAT IN ME
6. And of course, just plain MEATA - MEATAHOLICS.COM
Other plans include some resources for you: scientific facts about the health benefits of eating meat, meat recipee's and meaty food reviews, pictures of meat, and other sexy/cool meat related things.
Here's a video I found on YouTube of someone eating a "Double Pounder" (a McDonald's burger with 8 patties)...nice:
